A 30-year veteran in insurance, Alex is currently the Head of Claims for WTW in Asia. His experience crosses multiple jurisdictions, having worked in The United States, Bermuda, London, Dublin and Hong Kong, and crosses multiple lines of business, having handled claims in Property, Commercial Liability\/PL, FINEX (D&O, PI, Med Mal), Construction, Energy & Power, Marine and Aviation.
\nAlex has worked extensively on FINEX having personally handled some of the industry\u2019s most complex, and high profile, claims and losses, including Enron, IPO Laddering, the 2007 -2009 mortgage credit crisis and the Bernie Madoff\/rogue broker scandals, working with some of the world\u2019s largest regulated financial institutions.<\/p>\n
Legally trained, Alex started his career as a trial attorney in the U.S. and later went in-house to various insurers as legal adviser, claims professional, regulatory counsel, coverage\/wordings expert and underwriter. After leaving the insurer side, Alex moved to broking where he has held positions as Head of Claims – Hong Kong & Macau, Head of FINPRO Claims and Head of Specialty Claims; these last two being Asia-wide roles. <\/p>\n
Alex obtained a Bachelor degree from Boston College and a Juris Doctoris from New York Law School. He maintains a license to practice law in New York State.<\/p>\n
