The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) is delighted to announce that Kenneth Stephens is the recipient of the 2024 PLUS Founders Award. The prestigious recognition will be presented as part of the 37th annual PLUS Conference during the Attendee Breakfast on the morning of November 14, at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk Hotel. The annual national event provides an incomparable platform for industry professionals to come together, learn and celebrate outstanding achievements in the professional liability insurance industry.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The PLUS Founders Award acknowledges an outstanding member of PLUS who has made lasting and remarkable contributions to the Society. Named in honor of PLUS Founder, Angelo J. Gioia, this award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to PLUS and has significantly influenced the professional liability insurance landscape.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKen\u2019s impactful contributions to PLUS over the course of his career make him highly deserving of this honored accolade,\u201d said Robbie Thompson, CEO of PLUS. \u201cHe has undoubtedly led by example for the betterment of those around him, and his commitment to the advancement and enhancement of PLUS provides has been invaluable.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection process for the Founders Award considers various criteria, including active membership in PLUS, involvement in PLUS activities, creative problem-solving and innovation in addressing PLUS tasks, dedication of time and effort to the organization, promotion of PLUS within the industry and the public, contributions to enhancing the image of PLUS, and active participation in developing, implementing, improving and sustaining PLUS programs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining Chubb after graduating from Western Michigan University in 1986, Mr. Stephens held several positions of increasing responsibility during his 37-year career at Chubb. He most recently served as a Global Client Executive at Chubb from 2016 until his retirement in 2023, where he was accountable for direct relationships and the retention and growth of premium with Fortune 500 and Russell 3000 corporations. He has been an active member of PLUS for over 30 years having served as trustee from 2016 – 2022 serving on both the International and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committees. Ken currently serves on the PLUS Foundation board and as Trustee of Western Michigan University’s Alumni Foundation Board.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
